Crawfordsville – John L. Springer, 76, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday Jan 9, 2002 at St. Clare Medical Center in Crawfordsville. He was born July 13, 1925 in Montgomery County. He married Bernice Runion May 1, 1947 in Crawfordsville and she survives. Mr. Springer was educated in Crawfordsville schools. He retired in 1991 from RR Donnelly & Sons in Crawfordsville. He did pressroom work, bindery and worked as a security guard for a total of 41 years. He was a member of Donnelly Club and Ostomy Group of St. Clare Medical Center. Surviving with his wife are a son, Gregory W. Springer of Lafayette; a daughter Kelley Warbinton of Indianapolis; a half sister, Wanda Ramie of Crawfordsville and a brother, Melvin Springer. – kbz
